PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature control system and a temperature controller, which heat or cool exactly a temperature control object over a wide range. SOLUTION: A plurality of Peltier modules 1 overlappedly arranged vertically, and a temperature variable operation for the temperature-controlled object 9 arranged on an upper end in the uppermost stage of Peltier module 1 is carried out with control by the temperature controller. The temperature of the temperature-controlled object 9 is detected by a temperature sensor 10, and the temperature controller determines electric power for driving all the plurality of Peltier modules to make a difference between a target temperature of the temperature-controlled object 9 and the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 10 get near to zero, distributes the determined electric power to the each Peltier module 1 at an electric power distribution rate predetermined for every of the Peltier modules 1, and drives every Peltier module 1 by the distributed electric power.
