PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily evaluate a channel characteristic concerning an ultrasonic vibrator. SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 1, an echo extracting part 19 extracts a bottom surface echo signal based on reflection wave which is reflected from a prescribed depth among reception signals. A positioning channel echo calculating part 26 calculates a time interval which is included in the channel characteristic concerning the prescribed ultrasonic vibrator 31, the maximum voltage value or the like, based on the bottom surface echo signal. A positioning channel echo comparison determining part 27 determines whether coincidence is obtained within a prescribed range, based on the calculation result. A whole channel echo calculating part 29 calculates the time interval which is included in the channel characteristic concerning the prescribed ultrasonic vibrator 31, the maximum voltage value or the like, based on the bottom surface echo signal. A video converting part 22 performs prescribed image processing and arithmetic processing in the calculation result.
