<p>The method involves detaching a bar (5) lying at a glass pane from a closing unit, and removing the glass pane. A window pane set (4) with lower heat transition is brought in contact with the closing unit. Overall height of the bar is reduced in accordance with thickness of the window pane set, and the bar is brought in contact with the closing unit, where the bar is provided with an insertion seal (6). An independent claim is also included for a device for reworking a closing opening of a building.</p>
