A method and a system for processing banking transactions with an OTP generator are provided to enable banks to use safely/efficiently one OTP generator issued to a customer in common by making the banks to register issuance/use information of the OTP generator to an OTP registration center if the OTP generator is issued to the customer and the other bank uses the issued OTP generator. A user terminal is equipped with a USB(Universal Serial Bus) port capable of connecting to the OTP generator. An issuance bank server is connected to the user terminal through the wired/wireless network, generates a first OTP key value by using a random number generating object of a first group selected by a customer, and stores the OTP generator issuance information related to generation of the first OTP key value. A using bank server is connected to the user terminal through the wired/wireless network, generates a second OTP key value using the random number generating object of a second group selected by the user, and stores the OTP generator use information related to the generation of the second OTP key value. An OTP generator registration server is connected the bank servers, and registers/stores the OTP generator use and issuance information received from the bank servers. |
