METHOD FOR SENSING WEIGHT OF MOLTEN STEEL OF FLOWING INTO TUNDISH IN TWIN ROLL STRIP CASTING PROCESS

A method for sensing weight of molten steel flowing into a tundish in a twin roll strip casting process is provided to stably proceed a process by providing information about the weight of molten steel in a tundish when a road cell of the tundish is failed. A method for sensing weight of molten steel flowing into a tundish in a twin roll strip casting process includes the steps of: discharging the molten steel from a ladle by opening a ladle slide gate(111). The ladle slide gate is operated hydraulically; filling the tundish with the molten steel; operating a tundish stopper for filling a roll sump(151) with rest molten steel after the tundish has predetermined weight; rotating a roll(150) on a predetermined sump level for making strip; and calculating weight of the molten steel inside the tundish by subtracting an amount of strip discharge for 30 seconds and an amount of the molten steel staying in the sump, from an amount of the molten steel discharged from the ladle for 60 seconds.
