A platform-based VASP(Vertical Application Service Provider) providing system, a method thereof, and a recording medium for the same are provided to offer various VASP services at a low cost through a platform operation system for at least one wireless terminal located within at least one hot spot providing system. A platform-based VASP providing system comprises at least one wireless AP(Access Point), a service management server(300), and a VASP server. The wireless AP forms a radio link with at least one wireless terminal having a short range communication module. The service management server provides a VASP communication platform, which contains one or more terminal programs for network access to provide VASP services, to the wireless terminal through the wireless AP. The VASP server, interworking with the VASP communication platform installed in the wireless terminal, provides one or more VASP services to the wireless terminal through the wireless AP.
