摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain oriented electric steel plate manufacturing method with which magnetostriction can be reduced as far as possible while reducing iron loss of a grain oriented electric steel plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the grain oriented electric steel plate manufacturing method for improving the magnetic characteristic by irradiating a finely condensed laser beam, the magnetostriction caused by the laser beam irradiation is optimized in both the plate width direction and the rolling direction by using the power-modulated laser beam with its maximum power density being controlled to 1&times;10<SP>2</SP>to 1&times;10<SP>4</SP>W/mm<SP>2</SP>, and the magnetostriction becomes small by setting the modulation duty to &ge;70% and <100%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
