<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which performs brightness control not to dazzle a viewer, by considering effects of ages and viewing distances as human visual characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A display screen is set to the most suitable brightness by simple operation in accordance with a relation among the viewer's ages, a display size, the glare, screen illuminance, etc., which is obtained by subjective evaluation experiments. Various conditions of the viewer, such as his or her age, sight, and viewing distance are considered, so that the viewer can watch the display device without feeling fatigue even when watching for a long time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
