<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new micro-fluidic chip having a heating/cooling structure suitable for performing PCR or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This micro-fluidic chip comprising the first substrate and the second substrate, and having at least one microchannel for transferring fluid between the first substrate and the second substrate has at least one heating/cooling structure. The micro-fluidic chip is characterized as follows: the heating/cooling structure has the first space having a prescribed volume connected to the microchannel; either of the first substrate and the second substrate has the second space having a larger plane area than the plane area of the first space and a prescribed volume, adjacently to the first space and separately therefrom by an elastic thin film; a heat transfer member is disposed adjacently to the first space and penetratingly through the substrate on the side where the second space is not disposed; and a cold source can be brought into contact with the heat transfer member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
