PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimum performance tuning by avoiding performance deterioration of a storage system in accordance with a setting error of a tuning parameter. SOLUTION: The storage system 10 is provided with a primary volume 501 to be provided to a host computer 3 as an operation volume, a secondary volume 502 that can form a copied pair with the primary volume 501 and a storage controller 100. The storage controller 100 switches a main-sub relation between the primary volume 501 and the secondary volume 502 and provides the host computer 3 with the secondary volume 502 as an active volume when a load required for I/O processing to the secondary volume 502 with a tuning parameter B set therein is lighter than a load required for I/O processing to the primary volume 501 with a tuning parameter A set therein.
