PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processor and paper sheet processing method, which surely identifies all paper sheets ejected overlapped and improves the processing reliability. SOLUTION: A banknote processor comprises: a feeding part for feeing a plurality of sheets of banknotes partitioned by header cards; an ejecting part for ejecting a fed processed medium; and an inspecting part for inspecting the ejected processed medium. When overlapped feeding of the header card and banknote is detected, the processor is halted, and the image of the fed overlapped banknote is displayed. An operator checks the displayed image and corrects the mixture of the banknotes collected from an exclusion accumulation part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
