METHOD OF DETERMINING EFFECTIVENESS OF INTERFERON THERAPY, AND IMPROVEMENT OF KIT FOR DETERMINATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predetermine effectiveness of an interferon therapy. SOLUTION: It is determined whether the interferon therapy is effective to a patient or not by using the concentration of a marker substance in body fluid of the patient as an index. In a method for measuring the concentration of the marker substance, the marker substance is captured by a carrier such as a substrate whereupon an ion exchanger or a metal chelate body is immobilized, and then subjected to mass spectrometry. It can be determined more simply and quickly whether the interferon therapy is effective or not, by means of a kit for effectiveness determination of the interferon therapy including the carrier whereupon a substance having affinity to the marker substance is immobilized.
