A strut type suspension for a vehicle is provided to realize ideal wheel alignment by improving structure of the strut type suspension so that a camber angle is actively controlled, and to secure turning stability by improving tire grip against a road surface and obtaining a proper camber angle during turning. A strut type suspension for a vehicle comprises a knuckle(4), a lower control arm, a strut assembly, a variable bracket unit(20) and a camber variation unit. The knuckle supports wheels so as to be rotated. The lower control arm connects a lower part of the knuckle to a vehicle body. The strut assembly is integrally formed with a coil spring and a shock absorber(12), has an upper part supported in the vehicle body and a lower part connected to an upper end of the knuckle. The variable bracket unit consists of inside and outside brackets(21,23) hinge-coupled to each other so that a camber angle is variable. The camber variation unit varies a camber angle of the wheels by using hydraulic pressure so as to make hinge-operation of an inside bracket with respect to an outside bracket.
