<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of automatically performing the adjustment of a rising position of gradation and gray balance adjustment of low density, by adjusting a low-density correction curve. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an output part 2 for outputting a chart, constituted of a gradation pattern in a low-density part; a reading part 3 for reading a density of each patch from the chart; a calculation part 4 for calculating the adjustment value for performing gamma correction from the read density; and an output adjustment part 5 for adjusting the output in the low-density part, on the basis of the adjustment value calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
