<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn on/off the power source of an electronic device by detecting a held state by a strap of the electronic device, or by its user's selection. <P>SOLUTION: When a digital camera is hung with the strap 22, a strap attaching member 23 moves to a second position shown in a chosen drawing (B) resisting urging by a spring 65. On this occasion, a first switch 62 being a power switch is turned off. When the digital camera is not hung with the strap 22, the attaching member 23 is moved to a third position shown with a chosen drawing (C) by being urged with the spring 65, and the first switch 62 is turned on with a switching protrusion 60. If the strap 22 is pulled by a strong force, the attaching member 23 deforms an elastic member 61 elastically and moves to a first position shown in a chosen drawing (A).
