<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a factor estimation device for properly estimating factors without a cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: An inference engine determines features to be inputted (S11), and determines whether to make a person or a sensor input features by referring to an input source definition table (S12). When a person is made to input features, the content of questions asked to a user is displayed on a display, and the user is made to input answers (S13, S14). When the user is made to input the data from the sensor, a language converting part acquires information from the sensor via a sensor input part, and the language converting part converts numerical data from the sensor into a language value (S15, S16). The inference engine performs inference on the basis of the data input by any processing (S17).
