<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely recognize foreign matters without impairing users' operability in a large capacity tray. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet feeding device and image forming device are provided with the tray 62 supporting a sheet bundle 50 and lifted/lowered; a first sheet detection sensor 74 detecting the uppermost face 50a of the sheet bundle 50 supported by the tray 62 to feed sheets S; and a foreign matter detection sensor 70 arranged above the first sheet detection sensor 74 and detecting a foreign matter 90 placed on the tray 62 along with lifting of the tray 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
