<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of detecting carrying failure such as jam quickly after the occurrence. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 is provided with a charged belt 42 attracting recording media in an attraction region on the surface by electrostatic force and carrying the recording media to a downstream side of a carrying path and with surface potential sensors 5a, 5b arranged opposing to the suction region, detecting surface potential of the attraction region and detecting surface potential of the recording media attracted in the attraction region at the time of carrying of the recording media. Based on surface potential information input from the surface potential sensors 5a, 5b, the image forming device 1 detects carrying failure of the recording media. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
