PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a user to designate image processing of an OA apparatus where judgment of color or monochromatic data is performed automatically and image processing suitable for their data is performed. SOLUTION: A user selects the page or area of document data and designates image processing for the selected region as color or monochromatic data thus altering the volume of the document data.
