PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable surface mount capacitor without its shape deformed when receiving the heat or the like of a reflow soldering at the time of the mounting. SOLUTION: The surface mount capacitor comprises a capacitor element laminated body with a plate capacitor element having an anode part 13 at the end part and a cathode part 14 at the center part or a capacitor element laminated, and an anode terminal 3 connected to the anode part 13 and a cathode terminal 4 connected to the cathode part 14. The capacitor has the terminal 3 and the terminal 4 assembled in the bottom, a mold resin case 2a with a concave part provided outside of its side part, and a facing case 1a for covering the upper part and the side face part of the mold resin case 2a with a concave part provided inside the side face part.
