PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately hold and position an optical disk on a spindle motor without dropping the optical disk even when a casing is set in a vertical or horizontal direction. SOLUTION: A disk holder 20 is inserted into the insertion hole 5a of a disk tray 5. First and second holder clampers 21 and 22 are rotatably attached to the bottom surface of the disk tray 5. The disk holder 20 is provided with a main body 20a, a holder rib 20b, a holding rib 20c, and an engaging rib 20d. A plurality of slits 20e are formed in the disk holder 20. A core part 9a is formed in a chucking core 9 attached to a spindle motor 8. A positioning rib 9b is formed in the core part 9a. The positioning rib 9b is formed to have a diameter larger than that of the holder rib 20b. When a pickup base 7 is rotated to a reproduction position, the positioning rib 9b is inserted into the slits 20e and into a disk hole 3a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
