摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle device for a machine tool, which draws/inserts a working tool with a floating mechanism from/in a tool supporting means or a workpiece smoothly before working, and absorbs a relative position error between the axis line of the main spindle and that of the working tool at the time of working, which is the characteristic of a floating system. SOLUTION: On the outer peripheral surface in front of the main spindle 4, a radial bearing 15 branched from a first flow passage 5 in the main spindle and formed between the outer peripheral surface of the main spindle 4 and the inner peripheral surface of a holder 11 is provided. The front thrust bearing part 16a formed between the front end face of a flange 12 and the rear end face of a line boring bar 10, and the rear thrust bearing part 16b formed between the rear end face of the flange 12 and the inner face of the holder 11 are provided inside the flange 12.
