PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid drop discharge device which avoids the mispositioning of a discharged liquid drop and thermal damage of a substrate and improves the uniformity of a film pattern consisting of liquid drops, and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A stage to mount a mother substrate MA has a plurality of heaters (HP for a heater) which can correspond to each discharge region S of the mother substrate MA. When the mother substrate MA is scanned in a main scanning direction (Y arrow direction) with respect to the discharge head 40, the HP for the heater corresponding to the discharge region S opposing to the discharge head 40 locally warms up the corresponding discharge region S.
