PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation membrane-supporting body which restrains at least excessive permeation when a separation membrane is formed and has a high anchor effect, the body being effective for manufacturing durability-excellent separation membranes. SOLUTION: The separation membrane-supporting body 5 comprises at least two layers, that is, a surface layer 2, on whose surface a membrane having a separating function is formed, and a second layer 4 adjacent to the surface layer. In addition, the separation membrane-supporting body has an adhesive material 3 between the surface layer and the second layer, and the gas permeability of the separation membrane-supporting body is in a range of 0.2 to 10 cc/(cm2sec).
