<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving an LED array used as a light source of an LCD backlight. <P>SOLUTION: The LED array drive device is provided with one light controlling/width setting part 31 for respectively setting drive power sources of red/green/blue LED arrays in response to a light control signal and/or width control signal input from an external, a plurality of red LED array drive circuits 32 connected commonly to the light controlling/width setting part for providing the drive power source to the red LED array 41 so as to provide the drive power source set by the light controlling/width setting part by switching an input power source on and off by a PWM system, a plurality of green LED array drive circuits 33 for providing the drive power source to the green LED array 42 by switching the input power source on and off by the PWM system similarly, and a plurality of blue LED drive circuits 34 for providing the drive power source to the blue LED array 43 by switching the input power source on and off by the PWM system similarly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
