PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and inexpensively achieve the intermediate position stoppage with high accuracy and the traversing operation of a long stroke in a roll-changing device of a rolling mill having a hydraulic cylinder driven traversing truck. SOLUTION: The roll-changing device of the rolling mill having a pushing-pulling device and the hydraulic cylinder driven traversing truck is provided with projecting part(s) 12 at one or more points of a cylinder rod 11 of a hydraulic cylinder 10 driving the traversing truck, and is provided with a rotary stopper 13 engageable with the projecting part 12 in the inner peripheral part of the cylinder tube 19 into which the cylinder rod 11 is inserted, so that the selection of the presence or absence of the engagement between the rotary stopper 13 and the projecting part 12 of the cylinder rod 13 is made possible by the adjustment of the rotating phase angle of the rotary stopper 13. As a result, the intermediate stoppage with high accuracy at the point other than the two stroke ends of the hydraulic cylinder 10 can be achieved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
