PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher for performing appropriate control even if abnormality occurs in a water-level detecting switch. SOLUTION: In the dishwasher 1, dishes P or the like are washed by spraying washing water, and thereafter the dishes P or the like are rinsed by spraying rinsing water. A first determination means 61a determines detection states of both switches obtained when the washing water or the rinsing water does not reach a standard water level. A second determination means 61b determines detection states of both switches obtained after a water supply means supplies water. A control means 62 is provided for controlling the water level of the washing water or the rinsing water in a tank based on determined results by the first determination means 61a and the second determination means 61b.
