The apparatus has a compressor-control device (10) with which a control signal is producible for a compressor (2). A device (12) for generating a start signal for the internal space ventilation of the motor vehicle is coupled with the control device. The control device is not coupled with a controller area network (CAN) bus (6) of the motor vehicle. The apparatus generates the start signal and starts the compressor independent of the CAN bus. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an air conditioning automatic system for a motor vehicle (2) an application of an apparatus for controlling a compressor for the internal space of a motor vehicle (3) a method for controlling a compressor for the internal space of a motor vehicle.
