<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate curling of which can be prevented when protective films having different characteristics are stuck on the top and reverse of a polarizing film and which can suppress defects liable to be generated at ends even when exposed to a high temperature condition while stuck on a glass of a liquid crystal cell etc. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the polarizing plate constituted by sticking a first protective film made of a cellulose-ester-based film having a surface treatment layer on one surface of a polyvinyl-alcohol-based polarizing film and a second protective film made of a cellulose-ester-based film on the other surface, the first protective film and second protective film being combined so that a ratio A/B is 0.6 to 1.2, where A and B are area variation rates when the protective films are left as they are at 80°C for two hours. This polarizing plate is arranged on a view side of a liquid crystal cell having twisted nematic type liquid crystal interposed therein to obtain a liquid crystal panel and further a liquid crystal display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
