PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality circuit by setting a trace range, a trace time, and a scan count for a program, and by extracting information on a circuit not in operation, as a debug function of a PLC. SOLUTION: In a programmable controller system provided with a programmable controller and a personal computer functioning as a support tool, the programmable controller has a memory region for assigning each program step of a program to be executed and corresponding execution/non-execution, and a trace means for tracing the program to be executed. The trace means has a program execution/non-execution determination means for determining execution/non-execution of each program step, and a means for turning on/off an execution bit for an address of a memory corresponding to the program step, in response to a determination result of the program execution/non-execution determination means.
