PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by simplifying an electric mechanism in a heating cooker where an operation panel for inputting cooking conditions such as a cooking time, is tilted by the electric mechanism. SOLUTION: In this heating cooker provided with the operation panel on a proper part of a cooker main body, in such a state that the operation panel is vertically tilted by the electric mechanism, a control means is disposed to control a driving motor constituting the electric mechanism, and the control means is constituted in such a manner that it detects the tilting to a prescribed position of the operation panel on the basis of the change of an electric current value of the motor.
