PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reinforce a balancer shaft holder built in a balancing device for a reciprocating piston engine. SOLUTION: The bottom wall of the balancer shaft holder 16 is integrally formed with a protruding part 61 with a mounting hole 61A opened to mount an oil strainer, longitudinal ribs 62 projected from the outer surface of the balancer holder 16 and extended along the axial direction of balancer shafts 10R, 10L, and lateral ribs 63 projected from the outer surface of the balancer shaft holder and extended in an orthogonal direction to the axial direction of the balancer shafts 10R, 10L.
