PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater 11 capable of opening a front face of a housing 22 by demounting a front plate 45 in maintenance, even when the water heater is installed at a place of narrow frontage. SOLUTION: The front plate 45 of the housing 22 is divided into two in the horizontal direction, and a horizontal width of each front plate 45 is smaller than a width of the housing 22. Thus the front face of the housing 22 can be opened by demounting the front plates 45 in maintenance, even when the water heater is installed at the place of narrow frontage.
