PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament capable of maintaining an excellent beautiful appearance over a long period of time, and a watch equipped with the ornament. SOLUTION: The ornament 1A has a base material 2 which has at least a part of the vicinity of a surface mainly composed of Ti and/or stainless steel, and a mixture layer 3 in which a gold-based material containing Au and TiN are mixed together. The rate of content of N in the mixture layer is in the range of 1-20 wt.%. The rate of content of Au in the mixture layer is in the range of 1-50 wt.%. The average thickness of the mixture layer is in the range of 0.04-1.5μm. Preferably, the gold-based material is an Au-Fe-Pd-based alloy. Preferably, the mixture layer is provided in such a manner that vapor deposition by resistance heating, using the Au-containing gold-based material as an evaporation source, and vapor deposition by an electronic beam, using Ti as an evaporation source, are performed in the same apparatus.
