PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device for a freeze board, capable of supporting the freeze board in such a state as turned upward from the horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The support device is composed of a vertical base board 2 attached to a support frame 1 in such a way as horizontally rotatable, a freeze board support arm 4 pivoted to the vertical base board 2 in such a way as vertically turnable, and a locking member 5 held across the vertical base board 2 and the freeze board support arm 4 for locking the freeze board support arm 4 in such a state as turned upward from the horizontal direction. The locking member 5 has an engagement recess 51 on the distal end side, and is pivotally attached to the freeze board support arm 4 on the proximal end side. The vertical base board 2 has a projecting rod 22 on the board surface. When the freeze board support arm 4 is turned upward from the horizontal direction, the projecting rod 22 is fit into the engagement recess 51 and the locking member 5 locks the freeze board support arm 4 in such a state directing upward from the horizontal direction.
