The invention concerns a system comprising a broadcasting device (10) for broadcasting data packets in a number of sets, and for broadcasting messages prompting receivers (20-24) to send requests asking for rebroadcasting of all the improperly received packets. The receivers (20-24) may further request rebroadcasting of certain unreceived packets upon detection of a loss without waiting for a prompt message. The packets are rebroadcast unless they have already been rebroadcast in response to a rebroadcasting request received by said rebroadcasting device for at least a predetermined duration.
