The device has a molded resin (41) e.g. polyurethane resin (PU), provided between a laminated piezoelectric device (10) and a cylindrical housing (20), where the resin has an electrical isolation characteristic. The piezoelectric device is accommodated in the cylindrical housing, and a cover (42) is made available by an outer circumferential surface (100) of the piezoelectric device over the resin. The resin is arranged in a case that is formed by a group of case segments. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a piezoelectric operating device.
