EMBOLUS OBSERVING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND ULTRASONOGRAPH USING THEM

The flow rate of emboli flowing through an atrium is quantitatively evaluated and the flow state can be observed. In consideration of the amplitude characteristic of an ultrasonic reflection signal as an important factor, a characteristic embolus extracting section (9) extracts embolus signal data, and an envelope extracting section (10) quickly segments the observation object region. Thus, the flow rate of emboli can be quickly evaluated in time series with high accuracy. The extracted information on emboli can be presented by means of a display unit with colors, and flow analysis of emboli can be performed.
