A device for monitoring of populations of digger wasps comprises a recording surface, a wooden frame with an area of 1 m2 and a height of 30 cm along the perimeter of which nails, between which black threads which divide the frame area for squares of 10x10 cm, are drawn for 2/3 of length thereof with an interval of 10 cm. The device is filled with a mixture of sand and fine gravel in a ratio of 10:1.
