<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formation of a transparent electromagnetic wave shielding material, which has compound functions of reflection prevention and the like without exfoliation etc., is uniform and smooth, and can be used as a front panel of a PDP or the like, while being improved in optical loss and excellent in transparency. <P>SOLUTION: The transparent electromagnetic wave shielding material is constituted by laminating each functional film that has a reflection prevention function, a near-infrared ray shielding function, a shielding function of light emission caused by neon gas and an electromagnetic wave shielding function on a transparent support medium, or two or more functional films composed of two or more kinds of the above functions.
