PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a presence decision method of the air bubbles in the piping of a dispensing device capable of deciding the presence of the air bubbles in the piping at any time without wasting a liquid sample containing a specimen or a reagent and capable of reducing a reinspection time, and the dispensing device. SOLUTION: The presence decision method of the air bubbles in the piping of the dispensing device is constituted so that the piping 2, to which a dispensing nozzle 3 is connected, is filled with a liquid 11 and the liquid sample containing the specimen or the reagent is sucked by moving the liquid in the piping and the sucked liquid sample is discharged to perform dispensation and includes a step of discharging the liquid 11 in the piping 2 from the dispensing nozzle 3 and detecting the pressure change in the piping, a step of operating the number of the ridges of a pressure change waveform from the detected pressure change and a step of deciding the presence of the air bubbles in the piping on the basis of the operated number of the ridges.
