PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leather material with improved texture by ensuring wear resistance and keeping soft feeling. SOLUTION: The leather material comprises a leather obtained by coating a polymeric material layer on a natural leather or an artificial leather, wherein the polymeric material layer includes a silicone based copolymer, and having stress less than 2.4 MPa when the strain is 20% and more than 3.5 MPa of stress when the strain is 100%. The natural leather or the artificial leather has stress less than 25 MPa when the strain is 20%. The silicone based copolymer is a polydimethylsiloxane based copolymer.
