PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle navigation device, capable of further reducing the labor of a user required for setting a destination, and performing more detailed route guidance of the vicinity of the destination. SOLUTION: In this on-vehicle navigation device, spot information is read from a card type storage medium storing the spot information, including the location of the destination and information of its periphery, and the destination is set from the spot information; and when the distance between the destination and the present position is below a prescribed value, the destination and information of its periphery read from the card-type storage medium are displayed.
