PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roofing material manufacturable at low cost and suitable for snow melting. SOLUTION: This roofing material 1 comprises a first roofing material layer 11 containing the first granular carbon material of porous carbide and a second roofing material layer 12 installed on the upper surface of the first roofing layer 11 and containing a second granular carbon material to enhance heat conductivity. A vent inlet hole 13 so formed as to expose the second roofing material layer 12 to the bottom part is formed in the lower surface (rear surface). The warm air supplied passes through the vent inlet hole 13, touches the second roofing material layer 11, and transfers heat thereto for snow melting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
