PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductor of which the thermal expansion coefficient has a value closer to that of the oxide superconductor, in which a base material having less precipitation of a compound rich in Mo is used, and which has superior superconducting characteristics. SOLUTION: This is the oxide superconductor in which a polycrystal intermediate thin film is installed on a metal base material composed of an Ni-Cr-Mo alloy of which Mo content is 2 to 13 wt.%, and in which an oxide superconductor thin film is installed on the polycrystal intermediate thin film.
