PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for molding a shell-mold with which the improvement of surface roughness of the molded shell-mold can be achieved and as a result, the quality of a cast product using this shell-mold can be improved and particularly, cores used for casting an impeller in which a plurality of blade passages are formed, are suitably molded. SOLUTION: When the compressed air is supplied from a blower 4 to a sand tank 2, molding sand stored in the sand tank 2, is blown together with the compressed air into a mold cavity 11 in a molding die 10 from a plurality of blowing nozzles 7 through a blowing holes 13. At this time, in the mold cavity 11, air flow from the outer peripheral part toward the center part, is generated, and the molding sand while riding in this air flow, is filled up by blowing from the outer peripheral part toward the center part of the mold cavity 11.
