PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reproducing the high-quality moving image with a small-capacity memory.

SOLUTION: This moving image data output device has: a communication means for communicating with a display device having a memory; a first compression means for generating compressed moving image data by using a first algorithm and a parameter concerning the first algorithm; a determination means for determining whether a condition that the size of the compressed moving image data is not larger than a first threshold value is satisfied; a changing means for changing at least one of the algorithm and the parameter when the condition is not determined to be satisfied; a second compression means for generating compressed moving image data by using the changed algorithm or parameter; and a transmission means for transmitting compressed moving image data determined to satisfy the condition to the display device, together with an identifier representing at least one of the algorithm and the parameter used for generating the compressed moving image data.
