<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance in an image forming apparatus maintained by opening an access cover. <P>SOLUTION: By providing a fulcrum projection at the end of the periphery of the access cover, and providing a fulcrum receiver rotating the fulcrum projection in the front-and-rear direction of the image forming apparatus at the position of a middle cover opposed to the fulcrum projection, the access cover can be opened both front and rear. Alternatively, by providing a fulcrum projection at the end of the periphery of the access cover, and providing a fulcrum receiver rotating the fulcrum projection in the right-and-left direction of the apparatus at the position of the middle cover opposed to the fulcrum projection, the access cover can be opened both right and left. Alternatively, by providing a spherical fulcrum projection at the end of the periphery of the access cover, and providing a semi-spherical fulcrum receiver rotating the fulcrum projection in the front-and-rear and right-and-left directions of the apparatus at the position of the middle cover opposed to the fulcrum projection, the access cover can be opened both front and rear and right and left. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
