<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that ensures stable stir and conveyance of two-component developer and is compact, and to provide an image forming apparatus that uses the developing device, has a simple constitution, and is inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a developing roll 52, which has a magnet roll 522, incorporating magnetic members and conveys two-component developer, while holding it thereon; and a pair of stir/transport members 56aH and 56aL, upper and lower, which are disposed adjacent to the developing roll 52 so as to be freely rotatable. Of the pair of stir/transport members 56aH and 56aL, the stir conveying member 56aL in a lower position is disposed in the position, where the two-component developer on its back is subject to the magnetically restraining force of the magnet roll 522; and in between the pair of stir/transport members 56aH and 56aL, a developer flow regulating means 70 is formed so that inhibits the two-component developer from flowing toward the developing roll 52, from the back of the lower stir/transport member 56aL. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
