<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a memory for storing correction data for correcting luminance unevenness caused in a display element. <P>SOLUTION: Signals of R, G, B are subjected to γ-correction through look-up tables 20 and multiplied by multiplication correction values through multipliers, adders 28 adds offset correction values, and resulting signals are supplied to a display panel 10.
